According to the SAAB service manual the air filter should be replaced every 24,000 miles.

Changing the filter takes about 10 minutes and is very easy for the DIY.

You can buy a new filter online or from the SAAB dealer for about $20.

Facing the front of the car, the filter is located on the left side of the car .

Find the AMM and the air canister is located directly below that.

Undue the 4 torx bolts (they only drop down, not fall out), and remove the cover. You may need to remove a screw or bolt to push the bumper extension out of the way. Insert the new filter and replace the cover!
